Atlantic City Convention Center
Metro Energy Solutions provided energy engineering and construction management services to the Atlantic City Convention Center & Visitors Authority (ACCCVA) for the installation of the 2.37 MW rooftop solar power system. Metro Energy Solutions prepared a solar feasibility report that showed the order of magnitude for a rooftop mounted solar system at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The analysis also included replacement of the roof.
On behalf of the ACCCVA, Metro Energy prepared the technical specifications in order to undertake a competitive procurement process and solicit proposals from companies who specialize in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of solar systems.
Metro Energy reviewed and prepared an analysis of the responses to the bid. After award Metro Energy provided construction management services through the completion of the installation of the solar system. The solar system generates an output of 2,997,031 KWH/year at a fixed rate of $.103 per kWh. The cost includes the roofing upgrades. The project is estimated to save the ACCCVA over $140,860 per year resulting in over $4.4 million in total project savings over 25 years including the roofing upgrades.
