N
EW JERSEY- January, 2002 - Metro Energy Solutions, a full-service energy services company, today announced it has signed a contract with the Bergen County Improvement Authority (BCIA) to provide energy consultant and construction management services to the BCIA with respect to an energy conservation initiative. The consultant services will be available to all County facilities, Municipalities, School Boards, Commercial and Industrial Companies in Bergen County. Metro Energy Solutions’ responsibilities include: Promoting the initiative, initial client consultation, conduct meetings with facilities personnel, perform site visits and energy audits, collect utility data, develop energy use profiles, prepare economic analyses, propose energy efficiency changes that can be made to facilities, prepare bid specifications, perform bid review, project management oversight during construction, facilitate any utility incentive programs for energy efficiency and commissioning projects after implementation.

The BCIA is offering a county-wide energy conservation program to municipalities, school districts, water/wastewater treatment facilities and commercial/industrial businesses located in the County. Public entities and local businesses participating in the energy conservation program can save money by retrofitting existing facilities to increase their efficiencies.

In addition to energy savings the Rebuild Bergen Team will help you take full advantage of all utility incentives and rebates that are available. Competitive financing of all projects will be made available so that participants can implement projects without any up-front capital expenditure. The cost of the projects will be paid out of energy savings.

Dominick Aiello, President & CEO of Metro Energy stated, “With the electric market becoming fully deregulated in the summer of 2003 and the imposed rate caps being removed from the local utilities it is anticipated that electric costs will increase anywhere from 20% to 30%. This allows any of the participants in the program to take proactive measures against the potential energy cost increases.”
