Metro Energy Announces Agreement with the Bergen County Utilities Authority

January, 2006, Little Ferry, NJ – Metro Energy Solutions today announced that the Bergen County Utilities Authority of Little Ferry, New Jersey has signed an agreement with Metro Energy Solutions to assist the Authority in providing engineering and construction management services for the installation of a cogeneration plant that will use the biogas that is produced by the treatment process as the primary source of fuel.  The plant will produce approximately 2.86 MW of electric as well as 91,610 MMBTU per year in thermal energy. The construction costs  for the plant is $12.5 million and the project is estimated to save approximately $1.6 million per year in energy costs.

Metro Energy responsibilities include the review of all engineering and design drawings and construction documents and to provide construction management for the project. In addition, Metro Energy will apply for utility incentives for the installation of the cogeneration plant.
