Metro Energy Solutions Announces Contract with Essex County New Jersey

NEW JERSEY- January, 2001 - Metro Energy Solutions, a full-service energy services company, announced it has completed a contract with Essex County, New Jersey to provide energy consultant services to the County with respect to the proposed HVAC and electrical improvements to the Hall of Records facility in Newark, New Jersey.   Metro Energy Solutions’ responsibilities included the review of the engineering and design drawings in an effort to insure that the specifications address energy efficiency.

The Essex County Hall of Records facility is a 250,000 square foot building that houses many of the County’s services divisions, courtrooms and elected officials in Newark, New Jersey.  The project consists of replacing approximately 300 wall unit air conditioners with rooftop units, a lighting retrofit and a complete revamping of the mechanical and electrical systems.

"The County of Essex was concerned about the condition of the Hall of Records and the escalating energy bills. This was a way to address both infrastructure improvements that were needed and to be proactive in addressing our energy requirements as well. ," stated Jim Treffinger, Essex County Executive.  "Once this project is completed I believe it will be an example of using modern technology in an older facility and making it work. I enjoyed working with the Metro Energy Solutions team, they were professional and certainly made value added recommendations on the mechanical and electrical design for the building."

"The Hall of Records is one of the older facilities in the County and that in itself creates a challenge.  Projects of this nature present an opportunity to address much needed infrastructure improvements with cost effective and energy efficient equipment," stated Dominick Aiello, Metro Energy Solution's President and CEO.
