Metro Energy Solutions Announces Project with New MGM City Center
Project, Las Vegas, Nevada
March 16,
2006, Las Vegas, NV – Set to face the strip along a
quarter-mile stretch, the $9 billion CITYCENTER project will include
2,800 residential condo units, 66 acres of cafes and two 400-room
boutique hotels that will be on either side of a boulevard built to
the exact dimensions of New York's Park Avenue.
At its center,
this city-within-a-city the size of Manhattan's SoHo will have a
4000-room hotel/casino designed by Cesar Pelli (world-renown
architect of Kuala Lumpur's Petronas Towers). The most expensive
private project ever, the MGM Mirage CITYCENTER is set to transform
the strip and Las Vegas. With shopping, dining and entertainment,
the CITYCENTER is designed for residents who will call it their
home.
Metro Energy has
been retained as the energy consultant to establish LEED standards
for the central plant and oversee the accreditation process. Metro
Energy reviewed engineering and design drawings, made
recommendations based on LEED criteria and prepared the LEED
submittal as it pertained to the central plant.
