Metro Energy Solutions Announces Contract for Largest Ground-Mounted Solar Project in NJ

November, 2007, New York, NY – Metro Energy Solutions today announced that they have been awarded a contract to provide consulting services to NY Life Insurance Company, for a 2 MW ground-mounted photovoltaic system at NY Life’s Data Center facility located in Clinton Township, NJ. This project will be the largest ground-mounted photovoltaic system installed in New Jersey.  As part of its contract, Metro Energy Solutions was hired to prepare a bid specification for the photovoltaic system, undertake a competitive procurement process to solicit proposals from companies who specialize in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of solar systems, and to prepare a financial analysis of both the direct purchase and Power Purchase Agreement options proposed to NY Life.  In addition, Metro Energy Solutions will assist NY Life in evaluating the federal tax incentives that are available for projects such as solar installations, and evaluating the potential value of the Solar Renewable Energy Certificates earned as a result of the successful installation and operation of the photovoltaic system.
