Metro Energy Solutions Announces 700kW Solar Project with Parsippany-Troy Hills

West Caldwell, NJ - November, 2006 – Metro Energy Solutions announced today that it received an award of contract from the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills (NJ) to provide professional engineering, consulting, and project management services for the design and installation of a 700 kW photovoltaic power system.  The photovoltaic system will be one of the largest installations in the state, and will provide power to the Township’s wastewater treatment plant, located at the Sharkey Landfill in Parsippany, New Jersey.  The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills operates a 16,000,000 gallon per day advanced wastewater treatment plant that serves the needs of Parsippany, Montville, East Hanover, and parts of Mountain Lakes and Denville.  The Sharkey Landfill is a closed landfill and a former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Superfund Site. 

In addition to the engineering and construction management services to be provided, Metro Energy Solutions will also be responsible to obtain funding through the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ Clean Energy Program, as well as the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust Fund.
