Metro Energy Solutions Announces Another Energy Efficiency Project with Ricoh Corporation
West Caldwell, NJ – February, 2002
– Metro
Energy Solutions announced today it has entered into another contract with
Ricoh Corporation, headquartered in West Caldwell, New Jersey. This
latest contract involves the removal of two 50-ton rooftop heating and
air conditioning units, and the installation of two new 40-ton units and
direct digital controls at Ricoh’s headquarters office in West Caldwell.
Previously, Metro Energy Solutions has worked with Ricoh to upgrade other
HVAC units, and perform lighting retrofit projects at Ricoh’s warehouse
and office complex in Tustin, California, and at Ricoh’s service facility
in Pine Brook, New Jersey. Metro Energy Solutions was able to obtain
utility rebates on all of these projects, which enabled Ricoh to reduce
the net project cost for each of the projects.
Ricoh Corporation contracted Metro
Energy Solutions, a full-service energy services company based in West
Caldwell, New Jersey, to assist them in assessing the existing mechanical
and electrical equipment in their facilities throughout the country, and
make recommendations for improvements based on cost-effectiveness.
Metro Energy Solutions’ services are assisting Ricoh in its goal of becoming
a certified ISO14001 company. "We have had a long-standing business
partnership with Ricoh Corporation," stated Robert Ragozine, Metro Energy
Solution's Executive Vice President. "We are pleased that one of
the largest and most environmentally conscious companies in the world chose
to partner with Metro Energy Solutions. We look forward to continuing
our efforts to assist Ricoh in improving their facilities."
"We continue to be very pleased with
the results that are being achieved with the help of Metro Energy Solutions,"
stated Taeko Furbeck, Vice President of Facilities. “ Saving energy
and improving the environment are priorities with Ricoh both in the United
States and in Japan. We will continue to implement projects that
help us reduce our operating costs while at the same time helping to improve
the environment.
