Metro Energy Solutions Announces Three Energy Efficiency Projects with Ricoh Corporation
West
Caldwell, NJ - October, 2001 – Metro Energy Solutions announced today
it has completed three facility improvement projects for Ricoh Corporation,
headquartered in West Caldwell, New Jersey. The projects included
the changeout of three rooftop heating and air conditioning units at Ricoh’s
headquarters office in West Caldwell, a lighting retrofit project at Ricoh’s
warehouse and office complex in Tustin, California, and a lighting retrofit
at Ricoh’s service facility in Pine Brook, New Jersey. Metro Energy
Solutions was able to obtain utility rebates on all three projects, which
enabled Ricoh to reduce the net project cost for each of the projects.
Ricoh Corporation contracted Metro
Energy Solutions, a full-service energy services company based in West
Caldwell, New Jersey, to assist them in assessing the existing mechanical
and electrical equipment in their facilities throughout the country, and
make recommendations for improvements based on cost-effectiveness.
Metro Energy Solutions’ services are assisting Ricoh in its goal of becoming
a certified ISO14001 company. "We have had a long-standing business
partnership with Ricoh Corporation," stated Robert Ragozine, Metro Energy
Solution's Executive Vice President. "We are pleased that one of
the largest and most environmentally conscious companies in the world chose
to partner with Metro Energy Solutions. We look forward to continuing
our efforts to assist Ricoh in improving their facilities."
"Ricoh Corporation is always looking
for ways to reduce operating costs while improving the infrastructure of
its facilities and working with Metro Energy has helped us tremendously,"
stated Joseph Andolino, Director of Facilities. “ Upgrading our mechanical
and electrical systems, and taking advantage of the various rebates that
are available just makes good business sense.”
Metro Energy Solutions is currently
in the process of evaluating other energy efficient projects at Ricoh.
“With the state of the economy, we want to take a pro-active approach in
reducing our costs,” stated Andolino. “We will continue to explore opportunities
to upgrade our systems with energy efficiency in mind.” |
