Metro Energy Solutions Announces Contract with Trump Properties in Atlantic City, New Jersey

March 16, 2007, Atlantic City, NJ – Metro Energy Solutions was retained as the general contractor by Trump Properties to engineer/design and project manage the installation of various mechanical and electrical energy conservation measures as well as water conservation measures at the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The mechanical and electrical scope of work included: Lighting, Demand Controlled Ventilation (“DCV”), Air Handling Units with variable speed drives, heat recovery systems, Variable Air Volume on Kitchen Hood exhausts, Water Source Heat Pumps, Window Film, Variable Speed Drives on Energy Efficient Motors and new Pumps and In-room intelligent thermostat controls. The water conservation measures included the installation of; Low Flow (1.6 gallon) toilets, shower heads and sink aerators.

The total cost of the project was $4.9M with annual savings projected at approximately $1.6M in the first year. The estimated utility rebate for the installation of the energy conservation measures is $200,000.
